Asian Spring Rolls and Wraps + A Video!
It’s no secret we’re big fans of Asian food at my house. I think it’s because of all the wonderful flavors, fresh ingredients and, when I’m cooking Korean food in particular, I am transported back to my mother’s kitchen when I was a little kid.
Those special food memories! Watching my mother mix things together, throw stuff into a pan, not needing to measure anything because she just knows. And, my favorite part, sitting at the table and eating!
I love cooking and enjoying food is such a big thing in my family. Â . and it’s something I am passing on to my kids.
I love having them in the kitchen with me, helping out where they can and seeing the whole cooking process come together!
Asian Spring Rolls are one of our favorites to make! They are super versatile and the kids can roll their own! Mix up what you put inside based on what protein (beef, chicken, tofu) you want and use vegetables that are in season! Mix it up!
Here’s a recipe using spicy Asian chicken: Click here.
Here’s a veggie spring roll recipe using spinach, mangos and asparagus: Click here.
Here’s a traditional spring roll recipe using shrimp: Click here.
And my kids’ favorite! Chicken and veggie spring rolls with a tahini dressing! Click here for the recipe.
And speaking of rolls and wraps! Collard greens! These are a family favorite too! Same rules apply here: Mix up what you put inside based on what protein (beef, chicken, tofu) you want and use vegetables that are in season!
And you can also change up the dipping sauce! Go with something spicy or try my tahini dipping sauce! This is a favorite with my kids!
Here are some Roasted Butternut Squash Wraps we made using collard greens! So good! and collard greens are packed with vitamins A, C, K and a ton of fiber!
And because I love Asian Spring Roll flavors so much, I made a pizza! Check out the recipe here! So, whether you are cooking for yourself, or your family, I hope you try some spring rolls or collard green wraps soon! They are so tasty and fresh! Enjoy!
