Kimchi Fried Rice- Product Recommendation

Someone asked me the other day if I cook everyday now. . I actually have been lately but there are certainly days where I don’t feel like cooking and we are big fans of left-overs (and not wasting food) so we have at least one night a week where we are eating left-overs and I have my go-to dishes that I prepare and whip up fast.

I often shop at Trader Joe’s- because I absolutely LOVE Trader Joe’s- and one day they were sampling this Kimchi Fried Rice. I’m Korean and was super curious to see if it was any good and so I knew I had to try it.

It’s actually pretty good considering this was frozen and ready-made (and my husband really liked this; it’s pretty spicy) so if you are ever craving Kimchi Fried Rice and don’t have time to make it yourself. . or happen to stumble upon this in the frozen section at TJ’s: give this one a try and let me know if you like it!

(They also have Bibim bap bowls at Trader Joe’s that are okay and good to grab if you have no time to cook and want something fast. My kids actually love their bibim bap bowls so we have tried these a few times for them.)

I love kimchi fried rice! Thank you for reminding me of this dish … I think I will have to visit the Korean grocer this week for some kimchi, although I’m sure I could try to make it at home myself somehow. I just love Korean food!

Yes it is super easy to make and great if you have ripe (very fermented kimchi). I will post a recipe soon!! 🙂

I stumbled upon this dish in Trader Joe’s…bought it to try it and just have something quick and veggie. I have been eating less meat. I just made it tonight and looooove it! I need to make this on my own. Its spicy and I love spicy!

Their kimchi fried rice is great with nori bits and an egg on top. Also add cheese. Yes, I know it’s strange but cheese melted (whether cheddar or mozzarella) in Japanese and Korean fried rice is oddly delicious.
