Berry Acai Smoothie Bowl
Equipment
- high speed blender
Ingredients
For the smoothie base:
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup almond milk or water
- 2 tablespoons New Chapter Liquid Multivitamin Mixed Berry flavor
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter or almond butter
- 1 banana sliced
- 2 cups frozen assorted berries
- 2 frozen acai packets broken into pieces
Suggested Smoothie Bowl Toppings:
- hemp seeds
- cacao nibs
- granola
- coconut flakes
- banana slices or kiwi slices
- fresh berries
Instructions
- Place ingredients into your blender* in order listed above starting with the yogurt, almond milk etc. and end with the frozen fruit. Place lid on blender and blend until smooth**. Transfer to a bowl and top with suggested toppings and enjoy!
- *When making a smoothie, you should generally add liquids first, followed by softer ingredients like powders, fresh fruit, and leafy greens, then heavier frozen ingredients and ice last. This order helps to create a vortex that pulls the solid ingredients down to the blades, ensuring a smooth and even blend and preventing damage to your blender's motor.
- **Since this is a smoothie bowl, the consistency is thicker. If wanting to make a drinkable smoothie, you can increase the milk or water added or use less frozen fruit until you get the consistency desired.
