Chips Salsa and Guacamole! Sometimes, honestly, this is all you need! I’m sharing some of my favorite Mexican food dishes down below! Enjoy!

I can’t believe July is already halfway over. This month just flew by! After July 4th, it’s all a blur. It’s been a hot summer so I’m been avoiding the oven and being in the kitchen for too long. I’ve been eating a lot of fruit, pasta salad, salads and quick noodle dishes.

I grew up in Texas and grew up eating Tex Mex. “Tex-Mex is a style of cuisine that blends Mexican and Texan culinary traditions. It often features ingredients and dishes that are not typically found in authentic Mexican cuisine, such as yellow cheese, ground beef, and flour tortillas. Tex-Mex is known for its bold, sometimes simplified, flavors and hearty combinations.” I would always eat wayyyy too many chips with salsa before my meal even arrived. Maybe that’s when my love for chips, guac and salsa started.

The chips have to be crispy but not too thick. I like them light and salty but not too salty. The salsa must have flavor and taste fresh and the guacamole needs to have flavor and taste fresh as well.

I’m sharing some of my favorite Mexican food dishes down below! Enjoy!
