Now that we are all at home, our mornings have been much more relaxed and easy. There’s no rushing to get my kids fed and on the bus. My husband’s commute is now walking from our bedroom to the next room to where his desk is. He loves his home office. The kids get to pop in and say hello and our cat, Cinnamon, often goes in there to nap on the bed, or on the floor by my husband’s feet. I’ve been trying to mix things up for breakfast. Waffles with fruit, breakfast and bagel sandwiches, oatmeal, smoothies and different kinds of toasts.
My newest obsession? Cottage cheese on toast! I love cottage cheese. As a kid, I would sit and watch my mom eat cottage cheese all the time. It was one of her favorite things to eat in the mornings. At first, I didn’t understand it but then I tasted it and from that moment on, I was hooked.
It’s packed with protein, low in fat and it’s also a great source of calcium. The creamy goodness of Hood cottage cheese makes it perfect for breakfast, a snack or a meal at any time of the day. We hope you try it!
