If you’ve been following me on social media, or watch my instagram stories, you know I consume a lot of protein. I’m all about the protein. Recently, I was in Paris with my sister and I was eating yogurt and and berries and commented on how delicious it was and that yogurt was a great source of protein. She was like What?! My sister didn’t know that yogurt is a great source of protein, as is cottage cheese and milk.
I was stunned that she didn’t know this.
Here’s my Pumpkin Pie Overnight Oats recipe! It’s super easy to make and so nutritious! Dairy milk is the most important ingredient here because it’s nutritious and a great source of quality protein. Dairy milk also contains B vitamins, supports immunity, is SO hydrating, contains 13 essential nutrients and is cost effective! I hope you try the recipe!
Pumpkin Pie Overnight Oats
Equipment
- mason jar with lid or any container with lid
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 to 2 tablespoons pure pumpkin
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds or chia/ground flax blend
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- Toppings: chopped pecans, pepitas, granola, any type of nut butter
Instructions
- Place all of the ingredients into a large mason jar, from the rolled oats to the chia/flax blend. Pour in the dairy milk and mix together until combined. Cover with lid and place into the refrigerator overnight.
- The next morning, remove the lid and give everything one more stir. Add a splash more dairy milk to make the oats smoother and more nutritious and mix again. Finish off by adding the maple syrup and the toppings of your choice and enjoy!
