Watermelon Feta Sandwich! This is my fun twist on a watermelon and feta salad! Fun to make and delicious! I also add some heat with some Tajín! You have to try this!
If you are a watermelon and feta cheese lover, this one is for you! I absolutely love combining the sweet, refreshing taste of watermelon with salty, creamy and chunky and crumbly feta cheese. What about you?
I also added Tajín – which is a MUST in my opinion, and some balsamic glaze. The balsamic glaze isn’t needed but definitely don’t skip the Tajín! Have you had it before?
Watermelon Feta Sandwich
I think these would be fun to serve when having friends over or entertaining in the summer. It’s something different and super easy to make. The round cutter isn’t necessary. You can also just cut the watermelon into small squares. I just thought the round shapes were cute. The hardest part in my opinion? Cutting the watermelon. You want full round, flat pieces so you can remove the rind and cut into squares or circles. You could also do triangles if you wanted to!
Watermelon Feta Sandwich
Equipment
- round cookie or biscuit cutter optional
Ingredients
- 1/2 watermelon sliced crosswise
- Tajín
- 1 block Feta cheese sliced into thin pieces
- balsamic glaze optional
- fresh mint or basil garnish, optional
Instructions
- Using a round shaped cookie or biscuit cutter, make round circles of watermelon. Alternatively, you can cut the watermelon into squares or triangles. Place the watermelon pieces into a plate or serving platter and sprinkle with some Tajín. Use as little or as much as you prefer.
- Add the feta cheese slice on top of half of your watermelon rounds. If your feta crumbles, that's fine. Just top each watermelon piece with feta. Top with the another watermelon round to make a sandwich. Sprinkle more Tajín and/or some balsamic glaze. Garnish with fresh mint or basil if wanting to add something green. Keep cold, serve and enjoy!
