Baked Brie with Apples Cinnamon and Honey. Not just for the holidays, a baked brie is a lovely treat or appetizer to make!
Friends, if you are on the east coast, we may be getting lots of snow again Sunday night into Monday. This week has been incredibly cold and I just want to curl up into a ball on the couch and sleep. Just kidding. . maybe curl up into a ball under a big warm blanket and binge watch some shows on Netflix and eat this Baked Brie with Apples Cinnamon and Honey.
Baked Brie with Apples Cinnamon and Honey
One day I was eating some brie with crackers and I followed it up with a slice of apple pie. What? You don’t do this? It was brilliant and delicious and it works! If you made my Puff Pastry Wrapped Brie with cranberry sauce (photo above), or other jam or preserves, you know that the sweet and tart actually pairs really well with the mild, buttery and creamy taste from brie. It’s this mild, creamy and buttery taste that makes it so versatile to pair and cook with. If you’re new to Brie, I recommend enjoying the cheese (non-baked) with its rind, in order to appreciate the subtle nuances in its flavor.
Brie loves being paired with sweet fruit, particularly stone fruits like peaches, figs, apricots and plums. The sweetness and juiciness of stone fruit is a lovely combination with the Brie’s creamy texture, making for an easy yet indulgent treat. If stone fruit is out of season, pair Brie with grapes and berries. Brie also pairs well with fruits like apples, pears and unsalted nuts like pecans, almonds, and walnuts.
Serve the Brie with crusty bread or plain-flavored crackers that won’t compete with the taste of the cheese.
This would be the perfect appetizer to make next month for Valentine’s Day! So pin, bookmark and save this recipe! We hope you try it!

I love these flavors, don’t know why I’ve never paired apple to brie, but thank you for doing that, and also the other apple pairings that make so much sense, cinnamon and nutmeg, saving for this weekend
