My Good Morning America Segment!

Hey everyone! These last few days have been a whirlwind. I just got to spend the best weekend in La Crosse, WI, at the Charmant Hotel and then I flew to NYC to be on Good Morning America!!!

I’ve known about this for two weeks but wasn’t able to say anything until the day before.  It’s amazing how much planning and preparation goes into a 3 or 4 minute TV segment. The entire team, staff, camera crew and producers at Good Morning America (ABC) are wonderful! I can’t begin to tell you how great they were, each and every person! From the guy who mic’d us up, to the girl who did my make-up and the lovely woman who prepped everything and cooked all of the food for our segment. And to the wonderful producer, Danielle, who made everything happen! What an amazing team! And you can tell how much they all love their jobs!

We had to arrive really early in the morning and did a quick rehearsal on stage before going into hair and make-up.

From there, we got to practice more before going on stage and doing it live.

I felt super comfortable and prepared. I loved that this segment had a twist. We were there to promote new, healthy lunch box ideas and recipes or parents. I went head to head with fellow mom blogger, Laura Fuentes from Momables.

Ginger Zee was the anchor and Alex Guarnaschelli was the judge. We both presented lunch options and, in the end, Alex chose my Chickpea Veggie Meatballs as the winner!

I absolutely loved that they showed a photo of my kids in the segment. It made my kids so happy to see themselves on TV.

After the show, we got to watch a live performance from Rita Ora, not a bad Monday, and then we got to meet and take photos with Michael Strahan and Robin Robert! The best!!!

Here’s the full segment for those who missed it! Enjoy and I hope you made these meatballs!
