Classic Root Beer Floats!! I haven’t had a root beer float in ages! It’s time to take it back to the easy, simple classics. Make yourself one today! It’s delicious!
Aside from all the crispy pan pizza, homemade focaccia bread and pasta I’ve been making, I’ve been keeping things very simple. Tuna melts, wraps, salads, nachos, baked sweet potatoes, grilled cheese sandwiches and beans and rice, I’ve also been baking a lot. We’ve been baking cakes and making popcorn and trying to find fun activities for the kids to do.
I live right next to a Wawa. Wawa is a gas station and convenience store. They are big on the east coast I believe. They also sell make and sell the best sandwiches. Recently, I had a craving for some sweet treats so I walked over (with my mask on) and got some candy, some ice cream and root beer. I was craving something quick, easy and sweet.

If you’ve never made one, they are quite simple to make and there’s no way to mess this up. You just put ice cream into a tall-ish glass and pour in the root beer. That’s it.
If you’re feeling fancy, you can change up the ice cream. Any flavor will work, well maybe not mint chocolate chip but you know what I mean. Paul and I got this one for us.
and some dulce de leche for the kids. They were completely out of vanilla. You can also try making a Spotted Cow by clicking here.
We also added whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles just because. Make one and enjoy!
Hopefully, we’ve only got a few more weeks quarantined at home. I really am hoping for some improvement and change in the next few weeks and into May and June. Until then, stay safe! and keep letting me know what you guys want to see here!
