Delicious S’mores At Home + A Video! Made right at home, in your oven! Change it up and spread in some peanut butter, or put in some strawberries! Have some fun!
Easy S’mores At Home! All made in your oven! Completely indulgent and yummy, this is the perfect quick, summer treat to make at home and share with friends and family!
Sweet treats and baking are a big deal at my house. Growing up, my mother didn’t bake much and she didn’t really have a sweet tooth so the only dessert we ever really had was ice cream. I’m not one of those parents that frown upon sugar. I mean, I don’t let my kids go crazy and have 10 cookies or something and we do consider fruit a dessert too.
I love having my daughters in the kitchen with me, baking and helping me out. I’m not sure if it’s the actual activity of baking that they enjoy, or the fabulous baked treat they get to enjoy when we are done. I’m hoping it’s both! But, either way, I love that we are making memories and hopefully establishing family traditions that they will continue doing with their kids.
We always bake cookies and banana bread over the holidays. And during the summer, since it’s hot, we keep the oven baking to a minimum but we still manage to whip up some sweet treats.
For me, summer and s’mores are a given. There’s something about staying up late, sitting by a campfire and roasting a marshmallow. We often make s’mores when we’re camping or at a friend’s house. But what if you don’t have a campfire and you’re craving that sweet, decadent treat?
Did you know you can make s’mores at home in your oven?! And all you need is 2 to 3 minutes!
After my kids and I figured out that we could make s’mores at home, it’s been great! August 10th is National S’mores Day! Yes, you read that right! It’s a thing, y’all. And we all have to celebrate this year! And now you know you can make them at home so there’s no excuse!

For the homemade coconut whipped cream:
- Chill your coconut milk in the refrigerator overnight, being sure not to shake or tip the can to encourage separation of the cream and liquid.
- Remove the coconut milk carefully from the fridge and remove the lid. Scrape out the top, thickened cream and leave the liquid behind (reserve for use in smoothies).
- Place the hardened cream into a mixing bowl. Beat for 30 seconds with a mixer until creamy. Add the powdered sugar and mix until creamy and smooth, for about 1 minute. Taste and adjust sweetness as needed.
- Use immediately or refrigerate - it will harden and set in the fridge the longer it's chilled. The coconut cream will keep for up to 1 to 2 weeks.

I just made s’mores last night with my 6 year-old. She was so happy! And it takes about five seconds. Gotta love it. And I love doing it with peanut butter, too. That’s just a fun bonus to a tried and true classic!

Alice, I’m going to have to try this before my girls start school again. We have an electrical fireplace that is untouched and they’ve been wanting to make smores. What a great alternative your recipe is.
