Get your healthy on with this Spinach, Apple, Avocado, Banana and Almond Butter Smoothie! #smoothie #healthy

I wanted to call this my “fills you up like a meal, yeah I know it’s not pretty but it’s damn tasty” smoothie. But that probably wouldn’t have fared well with SEO.

Truth be told, if I had a choice for what I’d eat or drink in the morning, it would probably not be a smoothie. I mean come on, if I had a choice and the consequences didn’t matter, I’d have pancakes or waffles or eggs every morning, smothered in maple syrup and served with crispy bacon. And my coffee.

But, I’m training and trying to get into shape . .  so smoothies it is!!! I don’t dislike them. .  I actually like and enjoy smoothies and now that we’re throwing all sorts of things into smoothies, I can get creative.

I did throw an apple in here and left the skin on. . and I probably should have blended it for longer but I didn’t mind it. If seeing the specks of apple skin freak you out, peel your apple or blend blend blend until they are gone.

If you’re looking for some healthy this weekend, give this smoothie a try . . I had this twice this week for breakfast and they’re great!

Happy Friday!

I love the honesty in that opening. My sentiments exactly on green smoothies. But, we all still drink em so might as well make em taste good and thanks to you I now have a new trick up my sleeve. Can’t wait to give this a try (apple peel and all). That’s gotta be jam packed with some sort of extra nutrients I’m sure 🙂

You wont believe it but this week I´ve been making the same (kinda) smoothie, minus the almond butter and apple 🙂 I love my smoothies in the morning, they keep me full and I know that I started the day right 🙂 ps. but for sure, if I had a choice, in a world where it didn´t matter if you were healthy or not, I´d opt for the bacon etc every day!

You know, I’ve never thrown avocado in my smoothie…I need to do that. And I love the little specks of red…makes it festive! This is one great smoothie!

Well, as long as we’re agreed that we’d rather have waffles (or in my case, giant chocolate chip cookies) for breakfast if all things were equal, this smoothie is the best healthy option out there! I like your original name for it better, though, SEO be damned!

Haha, I sometimes want to put a really random blog title, but then I think about the SEO.
I love avocado in smoothies – it just makes them so creamy.

This sounds delicious, Alice! I’ve added spinach to smoothies before but never avocados! And I’m loving the apples in here, too!

What a fun and delicious breakfast! I’m all about leaving the apple skin on. 🙂 But I’m with you, if I didn’t care, it would be pancakes, cinnamon rolls and bacon every morning for breakfast. And maple syrup would be a requirement. Oh, and of course coffee. Breakfast without coffee isn’t breakfast. Haha!

I could go there. I am typically not a juice-fiend but when it has avocado I’m all in.

I love smoothies, but I’m with you on preferring real food in the morning, if there were no consequences! But at least there’s a million combinations for smoothie making, which helps me continue to enjoy them, even when I’d prefer waffles and bacon!! 🙂 This one looks great!

It’s such a great idea to toss avocado into a smoothie! We just had avocado in our omelets at lunch and I was amazed at how rich it made them. I bet your smoothie tastes like a legit milkshake!! 🙂

I have a hard time with smoothies first thing in the morning too. I love them, I just usually want some thing warm and nourishing not, cold. This one looks so good, so full of everything our bodies need and crave.. I may have to rethink my morning smoothie rule. 🙂 Looks delish!

Alice, you had me cracking up about your SEO. So true, so true. I really need to make more veggie based smoothies and this looks like a wonderful balance of getting those greens in there while still keeping some sweetness. I’m going to give this a try! Btw, good luck with your training! I loved your new running pants on IG 🙂

This smoothie looks so delicious and nutritious! I’m always trying to get my 4 year old to eat avocado (healthy fat!!), and he won’t. This would be a great way to sneak it in.
