Cottage Cheese Pizza Dip! Protein packed and so delicious! If you are a cottage cheese lover, you have to try this! I wanted to share the recipe that went viral at the end of last year because the Super Bowl is this Sunday. Pin or save this recipe if you are a cottage cheese lover and want to try something new!

The Super Bowl is this Sunday.. why do I feel like the only reason I know about these two teams is because Taylor Swift is dating Travis Kelce. Seriously, the amount of media and news coverage on these two has been crazy. And news about the fact that she will have to fly from Japan in order to make it to the Super Bowl and all the news coverage around that. Insane.

I always tune in mainly for the halftime show and TV ads . .  and I enjoy going all out with some Super Bowl eats.

Cottage Cheese Pizza Dip

I wanted to make a different kind of dip and this recipe popped up in my FYP. It was meant to be. Be sure to read my notes down below because I have a lot of them. I went with the air fryer method but you can certainly pop this into the oven. If you try this, please let me know what you think!

Enjoy!

Cottage Cheese Pizza Dip

Cooking time is with using the air fryer. If you bake in the oven, it will need to make for a little longer.

Cook Time7 minutes mins
Total Time12 minutes mins
Course: Appetizer or Side Dish
Cuisine: American
Keyword: cottage cheese, cottage cheese pizza dip
Servings: 4
Author: hipfoodiemom

Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz). container cottage cheese* drain the excess water on the top
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce + more if desired
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese** split
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • pepperoni
  • Momofuku chili crunch hot honey optional but highly recommend
  • serve with tortilla chips or pita chips

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees***. Using a small mixing bowl, mix together the cottage cheese, marinara sauce, half of the shredded mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, onion powder and the Italian seasoning.
  • Spread the cottage cheese mixture evenly in your baking dish. Top with the rest of the cheese and add some pepperoni on top. Air fry for 6 to 7 minutes. Longer if you want more browned cheese on top.
  • Remove from the air fryer. Drizzle with a little Momofuku chili crunch hot honey and serve! Enjoy while hot.

Notes

*If your cottage cheese is too watery or you don't like the texture, try looking for Good Culture Organic Double cream classic cottage cheese. Alternatively, you can blend or pulse up the cottage cheese mixture in a mini chopper or food processor to help with the texture.
**You can also do a mozzarella and parmesan cheese blend if desired. I just added some mozzarella cheese on the top but if a cheesier dip is desired, mix some of the mozzarella into the cottage cheese mixture and add some on top as well.
***If wanting to use your oven, preheat your oven to 350 degrees and bake in the oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
