We are down to the wire, folks. Recipes for Thanksgiving, recipes for this holiday season and entertaining. I, personally, love mushrooms so I’m a huge fan of anything with mushrooms in it. Shiitake, cremini, white, I love them all. And when they are stuffed with goodness, even better!
Bacon Pecan Garlic Mushrooms
Start a new holiday tradition: no leftovers. This is my most favorite time of the year, the holidays! I can’t wait to see my family and gather around the table with some delicious food. For me, cooking is all about trying new things, having fun and feeding my family. You need to start with great ingredients.
I love cooking with and adding pecans to my dishes for flavor and texture. You’ve got to try these Bacon Pecan Garlic Mushrooms using Fisher Nuts. They are so good! With Fisher Nuts, your meal is in the bag!
The Recipe
What I love most about this recipe? You cook everything in the bacon fat. So much flavor!!!
Bacon Pecan Garlic Mushrooms
Ingredients
- 12 large white mushrooms
- 3 slices bacon
- 2 to 3 cloves garlic finely chopped or minced
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 1/2 cup Fisher® Pecan Halves finely chopped
- green onions or fresh parsley finely diced, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Remove mushroom stems, finely chop and set aside. Place mushroom caps on baking sheet.
- Cook bacon in medium skillet on medium heat until crisp. Remove from skillet to paper towel-lined plate, reserving drippings. Add garlic and chopped mushroom stems to drippings in skillet. Cook for 3 minutes or until tender. Stir in cream cheese until melted. Crumble bacon into skillet and stir in Fisher® Pecans. Fill each mushroom cap with a rounded spoonful of mixture.
- Bake mushrooms for 20 minutes or until mushroom caps are tender. Sprinkle with green onions or parsley, if using. Serve and enjoy!
