Healthy Weekly Meal Plan 1.7.17! Check out this week’s meal plan featuring a Greek Veggie Pizza, Autumn Vegetable Soup, Slow Cooker Barbacoa Beef Burrito Bowls and more!
Happy Saturday everyone! I feel like everyone and their brother is getting some snow today. . except Wisconsin. It’s even snowing in Dallas, Texas?!
Well, it’s ok, we have lots of snow in our forecast for next week. . so I’ll be basking in the white glory, or staring out my window with my coffee, and smiling. I don’t know what it is about freshly falling snow, or watching snow as it falls .. but it’s so beautiful, peaceful and calming.
So, if you follow me on social media, you might know that we adopted a cat. It hasn’t been the smoothest transition. I have never had a cat for a pet. . and the only pet I’ve had was a dog when I was a kid (just for a year), a bird and some fish. So, to say that I am pretty clueless when it comes to pets is an understatement.
I’m getting used to Cinnamon, my daughters named the cat, but I’m still a little freaked out by him. The cat eyes, the pouncing and jumping right in front of me and while we’re going downstairs which freaks me out. If he ever does that while I am carrying food. . God help that cat. . anyway, we took the Christmas tree down today. An artificial tree which Cinnamon climbed up a few times. . like, he climbed up the freaking Christmas tree?! I’m keeping the kitchen counter clear and clean, which is good. I am not allowing the cat to enter my kitchen, jump on the table or the counters. I will not have it. The cat will have to leave if he doesn’t get it. My kitchen is like my office and I can’t have a cat jumping around all over the place.
He seems like a smart cat so hopefully he’ll get it. And the kids have warmed up to Cinnamon which makes me smile. And my husband, who declared and stated a number of times, “I’m not a cat person” is Cinnamon’s biggest fan. HA! If you guys have cat tips or any words of wisdom, please leave them in the comments below.
