Yoplait Greek Yogurt_stacked

My go-to breakfast these days is always yogurt + granola. I have it about an hour after my morning coffee. Yes, I can be a creature of habit. It wasn’t always this way though. . .  before greek yogurt came out, I never ate yogurt. Never. Well, frozen yogurt if you count that.

Yoplait Greek 100 was the first ever greek yogurt that I tried and I haven’t turned back.

Recently, the good folks over at Yoplait sent me a ton of their new blended greek yogurt to try. They seriously sent me enough yogurt to have everyday for a month!

Now, with the current greek yogurt hoopla, I probably don’t have to go into any of the health benefits of greek yogurt. Well, ok maybe I will just a little.

Yoplait Greek Yogurt has 14-17 grams of protein in each 6 oz cup and a thick and creamy texture. Protein is an important component of your body and your diet, serving as a building block for strong muscles and alongside calcium and vitamin D, for strong bones.  Another benefit of yogurt is that foods higher in protein may help to satisfy hunger. Come snack time, many nutritionists recommend integrating foods with protein.

This is probably why almonds, peanuts and yogurt always seem to satisfy as a healthy snack.

So, how does it taste?

It’s really good!!  And I really love that it’s already blended for you when you open the container.  Now, when it comes to yogurt, I have tried it all. Chobani, Fage, Noosa, etc. .  And I love them all.

Now, a lot of you might say Yoplait just doesn’t taste great. Well, you need to taste this for yourself. On it’s own, Yoplait wins in both taste and cost. Because, let’s be honest, eating yogurt every morning gets expensive. And if I’m spending $1.50 or $2+ for one container of Greek yogurt, it adds up really fast. Truthfully, this Yoplait Greek Yogurt tasted creamier and smoother than I thought it was going to taste and it didn’t have that sour after taste. It actually reminded me a lot of Fage’s Fruyo. And I love Fage’s Fruyo but I stopped buying Fage because it was getting really expensive.

So, if you’re open to trying something new.  . give Yoplait Greek Yogurt a try! Who knows? You might be pleasantly surprised like I was . .  and if you don’t believe me, check this out.

There’s a little Greek yogurt taste-off going on . .

I’m really excited to try the other flavors . . especially Blueberry and Coconut! See all the other flavors here.

I hope you enjoyed!
