Happy New Year!! A new year brings hope, new chances and opportunities and gives me a chance to reflect on the previous year and look forward to a new, bright one.

I can’t believe it’s 2022! This year, I don’t really have any resolutions; I mostly just want to take each day as it comes and mostly, I wanted to say thank you for being here.
These past two years have been challenging for us all. After spending Thanksgiving with my family this year in person, I really thought we’d be able to spend Christmas in Dallas and all be together again. Needless to say, we stayed here and I’s so glad we did. I didn’t want to be anywhere near an airport, or flying.
It was kind of sad though – doing the family FaceTime and wishing everyone a Merry Christmas through an iPhone screen. We’ve spent the last few days holed up in the house and the kids are very happy to be going back to school tomorrow. They will be in-person and I know these are very uncertain times but my kids are doing so much better now that they are back in school and with their friends and peers.
A Lot To Be Thankful For
We are all healthy! We’ve done everything we can at this point and will just take each day as it comes. I’m very thankful I got my booster shot when I did. If you have not gotten your booster, I highly recommend it.
Our little community here was grown and I just wanted to say thank you so much for being here. If you follow me on Instagram, thank you for the support and for making my recipes. Cooking, creating recipes, making videos and reels – all of this has kept me happy, sane and trucking along.
This new year, I plan to continue with easy, weeknight recipes and more Asian/Korean food, I’m trying to work on and put together some meal plans, a new newsletter format and MAYBE a website redesign down the road.
I am trying to do an Italy trip in the summer but I have no idea what travel, especially to different countries, is going to look like in June. I would love to travel more but I know that’s going to be on hold for a while. In the meantime, if you have any recipe requests, or anything, email me, or leave a comment below!
