I can hardly believe it but it’s that time of the year. The holidays are upon us. Family gatherings. Holiday entertaining and spending time with friends, family and loved ones. For me, this is the most wonderful time of the year. Holiday decorations are starting to pop up everywhere you go, kids are making their wish lists, families are making holiday plans . . and there seems to be a skip in everyone’s step (or maybe this is just me?).
I love the holidays, mainly because this means I will definitely be spending time with my family and friends. This year, my parents and my sister’s family are coming to my house for the holiday and you can bet there will be a table full of food, food and more food.
I don’t care how much food I have planned for the main and side dishes, there will always be appetizers at my house. This is probably why we start eating at 11am and it continues throughout the day. Cooking and nibbling and cooking and eating some more. I love this. This is my happy place.
Back in September at IFBC, I had the pleasure of learning about a company called
Their
Perfection.

It has artichokes, kale and walnuts so it’s healthy.

One of my favorite family recipes is similar! Baked brie wrapped in phyllo dough with a layer of fig jam spread on top (well on top of some phyllo that’s on top of the brie, but then with more buttery phyllo wrapped over that). SO GOOD.
