This turkey burger recipe has become a staple at my house. I just love this flavor combo and you can even use it to flavor your ground turkey for a turkey and rice bowl.

Turkey Burger with Gochujang Glaze
Turkey Burger with Gochujang Glaze
Ingredients
For the turkey burger patties:
- 1 lb. Shady Brook Farms Ground Turkey
- 1/4 onion minced in a food processor
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon gochujang
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 pinch kosher salt
- freshly cracked pepper
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil
For the gochujang glaze:
- 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean hot pepper paste)
- 1 1/2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon brown rice vinegar
For the burger:
- 4 whole wheat buns toasted
- 4 slices Cheddar cheese
- 4 slices Mozzarella cheese
- sliced tomatoes
- lettuce
- sliced red onions
- mayonnaise
Instructions
For the turkey burger patties:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, 2 tablespoons of the minced onion, Worcestershire sauce, gochujang, ketchup, and season with salt and pepper. Mix together until combined. Form and shape four turkey patties of equal size.
- Using a large pan or skillet over medium high heat, heat up your pan for a few minutes. Add the avocado oil and after a minute or two, add the turkey patties and cook for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side, or until nicely browned and cooked through.
- Remove the turkey patties from the heat and onto a plate.
For the gochujang glaze:
- While your skillet is heating up, you can make this: Whisk together all of the ingredients in a small bowl. Taste and adjust any ingredients as needed. Set aside.
For the burger:
- To assemble: place some cheese on top your toasted whole wheat bottom bun, add a turkey patty, some gochujang glaze, top with lettuce, tomatoes and red onion. Spread some mayonnaise on the other bun and add the top bun on top. Enjoy!
