I’m a snacker. Big time. I often graze throughout the day and eat smaller sized portions at meal time. The only way I can snack and not feel guilty about it is to snack healthy. . . most of the time. Dried fruit, nuts, pistachios, almonds, snack chips, fruit, yogurt and peanut butter crackers are my go-to snacks.

And it’s summer! We are always on the go so we need snacks that we can pack, are portable and can easily be eaten or thrown into our mouths. I am constantly packing snacks for the kids and then toting them off to swim class, art class, the library etc.  We always have snacks with us. Always. With little kids, you can’t go anywhere without having a little something packed and with you.

I’ve always been a HUGE fan of nuts. All kinds. When it comes to nuts, I don’t discriminate. I eat them all. Almonds, pistachios, peanuts, cashews, walnuts, hazelnuts. .  you name it and I will eat them. When I was little- and even now- my dad would always have a canister of mixed nuts in the pantry or in the kitchen and would always snack on them so I would sit with him and eat with him. It was fun. Good times with my dad.

Wonderful Pistachios/Wonderful Pistachios Flavors

Wonderful Pistachios are a delicious, sensible snack—and a nutrient-rich alternative to popular “junk” snacks. A handful helps take the edge off hunger. It’s a smart snack, acting as a satisfying “bridge” between meals.  A serving of Wonderful Pistachios provides a good source of protein and fiber (contains 14 grams of fat per serving). Enjoy a reduced serving of about 30 pistachios for around 100 calories for a snack that offers both crunch and seasoning, making them a satisfying snack choice.   The” Pistachio Principle” is a simple mindful eating concept that may help you fool yourself full –without feelings of deprivation.

Wonderful Almond Accents

Wonderful Almond Accents offer big flavor with around 40 calories per serving.  Don’t ruin your salad – make it a Saladbration! Wonderful Almond Accents are a better alternative to croutons and other traditional salad toppings.     For those who are conscious about their sodium, switching from seasoned croutons to flavorful Wonderful Almond Accents can be a good option. They are dry roasted with no added oil, and are naturally free of trans-fat.

Wonderful Almonds

Wonderful Almonds are naturally cholesterol-free, making them a deliciously tempting option for smarter meals and snacks. (Contains 14 grams of fat per serving; see nutrition information for fat content).  A serving of almonds fits on a standard sticky note (about 23 almonds).  All three varieties of Wonderful Almonds – Roasted & Salted, Roasted No Salt, and Natural Raw – are a great source of Vitamin E, and a good source of fiber (contains 14 grams of fat per serving.)
