The weirdest thing happened to me on Saturday night. As I was eating dinner, I felt something kind of crack in my mouth. We had friends over so I just kept on eating and kind of didn’t really think about it . . but then after dinner, I felt something wedged between my teeth and went to the bathroom to get some floss. Well, after floss and a couple toothpicks, I finally got it out. . and cracked my tooth in the process. Like a piece of my tooth fell out!
Yes, there is a small open crack now in my tooth. Thankfully, it’s my tooth that’s in the very back of my mouth, on top on the left side. Needless to say, I’ve been eating everything on the right side of my mouth because I don’t want anything to get stuck in there. I’m calling the dentist today to try to get in for an emergency appointment.
This should be fun. Really fun.
And what better time to start a juice cleanse than now? I’m already having a hard time slowly eating and chewing on the right side of my mouth only. It’s like this was meant to be.
All joking aside, I’m taking this fresh start cleanse very seriously and have been prepping for the last few days, eating very little dairy, no red meat, less sugar, and going low on the carbs. I’ve been eating more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains to make the transition into the cleanse easier.
It’s the start of a new year and I wanted to re-charge my body, cleanse and clean out my system. I did this cleanse last year and felt great. So, today is the day! Day 1!
During the day, you drink 6 juices, all outlined below. You can also and should stay hydrated with lots of water, and even additional juices if you’d like.
Day 1 usually goes fine for me and I feel great. Day 2 is harder and you might feel a little sluggish and hungry. For best results, it is recommended to just stick to the juices but if you’re really active and hungry, the best foods to consume are raw fruits and veggies, half an avocado, a baked sweet potato, or broth-based soups. Day 3 is kind of easier because you know it’s the last day and you just have to power through it.
And because I love Suja Juice so much, I’m partnering with them today to offer ONE READER a 3-day Original fresh start cleanse ($162!).
