Unfortunately the holidays are over. If you haven’t already, you’re starting to take down all the decorations. If you’re like me, you’re also thinking about 2014 and might even be setting goals for yourself. I’m not going to call them resolutions because that word doesn’t seem to work for me.
Goals feel more achievable.
Like probably 70% of America, I am setting the goal of healthier eating and snacking. Now let me go into a little bit more detail here. For me, this does not mean denying myself of foods I want to eat and dieting. Which is another word that doesn’t work for me. For me, healthier eating and snacking means making better choices. Reading the labels. Not junking out very often.
I actually love snacking on fruits and raw veggies, yogurt and nuts and granola. . Â but because my sweet tooth will always be with me, I need to find a way to satisfy my sweet cravings with a healthier, better option.
Yes, I am talking about these Healthy Indulgence Bars from KIND Snacks. Never heard of KIND Bars? Read on. .  These bars are the epitome of healthy and tasty combined.  And they have everything I love: fruit, whole nuts and essential nutrients like fiber, protein and antioxidants (just to name a few). .  these bars have “ingredients you can see and pronounce.”
And some of these bars have chocolate. A little chocolate never hurt anyone.
I’m going to be snacking on these tasty bars in 2014 for sure. Want to join me? I’ve teamed up today with KIND to offer one lucky reader a variety pack of these bars (featured above). There will be 10 bars total. . Â if you’ve never tried KIND bars, you’ve got to enter this giveaway or get you some FAST!
Happy NEW Year!!!

We have decided to make an effort to try to match our amount of exercise to what we eat, rather than trying to match what we eat with how little exercise we get. Counting calories never works.

Alice….I love granola and granola bars and I’ve had Kind before, they are awesome! The one that caught my eye in your photo that I haven’t tried is the dark chocolate chili almond. Like you, my goal is to make better choices this year (and not just with food!). Happy New Year! : )

To eat healthy and exercise more to lose weight, rather than being on a “diet”. I also created a “motivation board” that my husband hung in our living room. Prominently displays my weight, goals, and steps I am taking to achieve them.
