Best Chunky Guacamole

In this recipe, I use Roma tomatoes but I also love adding finely diced red bell peppers as well.

  • a potato masher (or a fork) works great!

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe avocados cut in half, with the pit removed
  • 1 lime sliced in half and juiced
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup red onion finely diced
  • 2 roma tomatoes* finely diced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh (or roasted) minced garlic optional
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro finely diced
  • jalapeƱos finely diced, optional for heat

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, mash together the avocados, lime juice, and salt. For a more intensified lime flavor, add a little lime zest! Mix in the diced red onion, tomatoes, garlic and cilantro. Stir in the jalapeƱos. Taste and adjust salt and lime juice if needed. Sprinkle on a little more cilantro if desired and enjoy with tortilla chips!
